With the help of a Sky Tracker, we are able to capture long exposures of the night sky, creating captivating, high resolution images. Each constellation is made up of at least 100 images, which are carefully stacked and stitched together to create a mosaic.

Your Zodimap features the night sky captured from Nelson, New Zealand. The images themselves are 99% accurate with what is really in that part of the sky.

This year we are looking forward to the arrival of our twins, instantly doubling the size of our family! Being a Designer and Astrophotographer, my first thought was decorating the twins room, whilst thinking how I could introduce them to the night sky at an early age.

This is where my idea came about of capturing a very high resolution image of the Constellation Leo, which is when our twins are due. I am super excited about the outcome, and will be framing all the constellations for their room!

From that day, the Zodimap project was created, and on the first clear night here in Nelson I endeavored to capture the night sky.
